History of the Army Rangers

The Army Rangers trace their origins to the colonial era, when they were known as "rangers" or "scouts." These men were skilled in wilderness survival and combat, and they played a vital role in the American Revolutionary War. During the Civil War, both the Union and Confederate armies used rangers to conduct raids and gather intelligence. In the 20th century, the Army Rangers were formally established as a separate unit within the United States Army.

Training

Army Rangers undergo some of the most rigorous training in the United States military. They must be in excellent physical condition and have a strong mental aptitude. Ranger School is a 61-day course that tests the limits of human endurance. Only about half of those who begin Ranger School complete the course.

Equipment

Army Rangers are equipped with the latest weapons and equipment. This includes assault rifles, grenade launchers, night vision goggles, and GPS devices. Rangers also receive specialized training in the use of explosives and other demolition devices.

Missions

Army Rangers conduct a variety of combat operations, including direct action raids, reconnaissance and surveillance, and hostage rescue. Rangers are often deployed to the most dangerous and challenging environments, and they are always willing to put their lives on the line to complete their mission.

Legacy

Army Rangers have a long and distinguished history of service to the United States. They have fought in every major conflict since World War II, and they have consistently distinguished themselves with their courage, professionalism, and dedication to duty. Army Rangers are the elite warriors of the United States military, and they are always ready to defend their country.

Army Rangers are the best of the best. They are highly trained and skilled in a variety of combat operations, and they are always willing to put their lives on the line to complete their mission. Army Rangers are the elite warriors of the United States military, and they are always ready to defend their country.
