Bob Long Way to Zimbabwe
In 1936, Beryl Markham became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Her journey was an inspiration to Bob Long, a young man from England who dreamed of following in her footsteps. In 2012, Bob set off on a motorcycle journey from London to Harare, Zimbabwe, the birthplace of Beryl Markham.
Bob's journey took him through some of the most challenging terrain in Africa, including the Sahara Desert, the Congo rainforest, and the Kalahari Desert. He encountered a variety of cultures and people, from the friendly locals of Ethiopia to the dangerous rebels of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
