In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010, the world was quick to respond with aid. But as the days and weeks turned into months and years, it became clear that traditional charity models were not going to be enough to help Haiti rebuild.
A small group of people, including the author of this book, decided to take a different approach. They founded a non-profit organization called ng Our Damnedest, with the goal of empowering Haitians to create a better future for themselves.
ng Our Damnedest is not a traditional charity. We do not hand out food or money. Instead, we focus on providing Haitians with the tools and resources they need to become self-sufficient. We work in the areas of education, healthcare, and economic development.
Our approach is working. In the years since we were founded, we have seen a significant improvement in the lives of the people we serve. Our students are learning, our patients are getting better, and our businesses are thriving.
This book tells the story of how we got to where we are today. It is a story of hope, resilience, and determination. It is a story that will inspire you to believe that anything is possible.
