Karrine Steffans is a former video vixen and model. She is the author of The Vixen Diaries and Confessions of a Video Vixen. She is currently a motivational speaker and life coach.

"I was 18 years old when I moved to the United States. I didn't know anyone and I didn't have any money. I was determined to make it in the entertainment industry, but I didn't know how.

I started out as a model. I did some print work and I appeared in a few music videos. But I didn't really get noticed until I started ng video vixens. I was good at it. I had the right look and the right moves. I was able to make the guys in the videos look good, and I was able to make the viewers at home feel something.

I did videos with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I worked with Jay-Z, Foxy Brown, and Shaquille O'Neal. I was living the high life. I had everything I ever wanted. But I wasn't happy.

I was addicted to drugs and alcohol. I was struggling with self-esteem issues. And I was constantly being pressured by the industry to do things I didn't want to do.

One day, I hit rock bottom. I overdosed on drugs and I almost died. That's when I realized that I needed to change my life.

I went to rehab and I got sober. I started therapy and I began to work on my self-esteem. It wasn't easy, but I was determined to get my life back on track.

Today, I am a different person. I am sober and I am happy. I am pursuing my dreams and I am making a difference in the world. I am a survivor and I am proud of the woman I have become."
